In most cases you will create an ICC RGB output profile for your 6- or 8-color photo printer, even if the printer prints with 6 or 8 inks (e.g. CMYK Cyan Light, Magenta Light, etc.). These printers will normally be controlled using a native RGB printer driver and require RGB data. To profile this printer please use one of the RGB charts included in the Eye-One Photo software.
