+Gray White Point in PM5 Printer Profile
Q- I created my printer profile with ProfileMaker5 and now my printout looks dingy, washed out, and the white point is decidedly gray.
A- When creating a printer profile in PM5, the user has the choice of selecting between three different "Gamut Mapping" options. "LOG Classic" will calculate as ProfileMaker3, "LOG Chroma Plus" will calculate as ProfileMaker4, and "LOGO Colorful" is the preferred selection that will use the current calculation developed for PM5. Selecting an older method such as LOGO Classic" or "LOGO Chroma Plus" can result in a profile that will yield a dingy, washed out image with a white point that is quite gray.
