+Palettes Synching to Third Party Software (Quark, InDesign, Illustrator, PS)

The automatic synchronization of my color palettes to my third party applications such as Photoshop or InDesign does not work. How can I solve this?

When you create or edit palettes in ColorMunki and the 'Synchronizing' option is checked on, the palettes in your applications should become active when you close the ColorMunki software and relaunch these applications.  Once you reopen Photoshop for example, you will now see these color palettes in the swatches.

If it does not behave in this way please make sure that in the ColorMunki software Preferences the path to the color palettes folders within your application(s) is included and defined correctly.  Also make sure that the palettes file type is set correctly (Photoshop: .aco, Illustrator and InDesign: .ase, XPress: .qcl).   If no path to the color folder of your application(s) is defined simply add it by navigating to the appropriate color palettes folder and selecting it as shown here:

To access the Synchronization Preferences in Photo ColorPicker on a Mac, please open menu 'Photo ColorPicker / Preferences / Sync'.
On Windows, please go to menu 'File / Options / Synchronizing' in Photo ColorPicker.

To access the Synchronization Preferences in ColorMunki Design on a Mac, please open menu 'ColorMunki Design / Preferences / Sync'.
On Windows, please go to menu 'File / Options / Synchronizing' in ColorMunki Design.

*  If Photoshop is not seeing your new or updated Colormunki palettes, a restart of Photoshop is needed.

**  For DTP applications installed in 'Non-EN' languages the 'Colormunki Sync' Preferences may not include the default paths to the color palettes folders.  Please add them as described above.
