Symptom: ColorMunki Photo V 1.1.1 is installed on Windows 7, 64 bit computer and could be used successfully for a couple of month but suddenly the software cannot be launched anymore. The following message appears: "Runtime Error! Program: C:\X-Rite\ColorMuniPhoto\Tools\ColorMunkiPhoto.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support t eam for more information." A clean un-installation and re-installation of the software, as well as setting UAC to minimum level, disabling Windows Defender and third-party security software did not help.

Solution: The reason for this behavior is unclear. An assumption is, that it is caused by installations of some auto updates for the system. To work around this issue, follow these steps:

- Right-click on ColorMunki Photo Icon
- Select option ‘Troubleshoot for Compatibility Issues’
- Select ‘Check recommended Compatibility Settings’
- Compatibility Mode to Windows XP will be suggested
- Click on ‘Run Application’

The software can from now on be started successfully.
