Thibault Roland
Being a Black and White (B&W) photographer, it may sound counter intuitive that Thibault would need color management. And yet he does since he shoots with a digital camera and uses the color images it delivers as the foundation of his B&W work. Before constructing a house, the foundations need to be solid, and he uses the colors and tonalities of this original image in order to create pieces of art that are entirely distinct and original. This can only be done if the colors are accurate and tonalities spot on.
In Thibault's opinion, photography is incomplete until the work has been printed and delivered to his collectors. In order to provide a final product of the highest quality possible, Thibault relies on the accuracy of X-Rite's calibration tools. These tools allow for a perfect rendition of the images from his digital darkroom onto the final substrate.
