Q: I purchased MonacoEzColor, and am looking forward to use it for photographic printing, using an Epson stylus photo 2200. However, I was surprised to find in the directions that creating a printer profile requires a scanner.  How does one create printer profiles without such a scanner?

A: In order to measure your printer and create a profile, MonacoEZcolor requires that you have access to a color flat-bed scanner. In this situation, you will only need the scanner for creating your printer profiles, so it is perfectly acceptable to use somebody else's scanner. Be sure that all of the automatic color correction features are disabled when scanning the MonacoEZcolor printer target and IT8 target.
