-Cursor has Blue Color Cast

Q:  I calibrated my LCD and notice that now my cursor (hourglass, etc.) has a bluish color cast. What's wrong?

A:  The reason your cursor appears a bit blue is because the color correction applied to the rest of your monitor does not get applied to the cursor. When Windows draws the cursor on the screen, it bypasses the normal mechanisms, including the correction LUT in the video card. The reason it looks blue is because your display has been corrected from being too blue, to more yellow. When compared to the rest of the display, the cursor looks blue.
