-Driver Conflict with Dr Speedtouch Software - U.K., Ireland Only

Symptom:  The Optix XR errors out when calibrating.  Instrument has worked in the past.

Root Cause:  If you have recently installed a Speedtouch DSL modem and its Dr Speedtouch software there is likely a conflict between the X-Rite drivers and those of the modem.

Solution:  [1] Go to the Speedtouch web site and download the latest appropriate drivers for your modem.  [2] Remove the Dr Speedtouch software using the "Add/Remove Software" in your control panel.  [3] Install the standalone drivers that you retrieved from the Speedtouch web site.

Note that independent installation of the Dr Speedtouch drivers will resolve the driver conflict and will not affect the operation of your broadband modem.  The website is as follows http://www.speedtouch.co.uk/330.asp.
