Alex is a British professional Photographer, now a Dubai resident for 15 years, he knows well and does great work in the local market, regularly working for global as well as regional brands, this international brand experience means that Alex is used to working with the pressures / demands and global brand guidelines that also come with it and he takes pride in forging and maintaining long-term client relationships. Alex and the team possess invaluable local-knowledge and resources and have earned a reputation as a creative, professional and reliable supplier of first class photography production services in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the GCC. Alex is just back from San Jose, California, invited and flown there by Apple to attend their Worldwide Developers conference and just last week, Alex photographed at the Waldorf Astoria, Maldives, shooting their new hotel at pre-opening stage. He happily shoots outside of Dubai, recently in Muscat, Qatar and Kuwait.
Alex holds an Associateship qualification from the British institute of Professional Photography. One of only 2 photographers in the United Arab Emirates, that is qualified by the globally respected Society. BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photography) are an internationally recognised and widely respected organisation and its qualifications are a world recognised benchmark of excellence. Members must be qualified professionals, and agree to be bound by the BIPP's code of conduct. BIPP President, Roy Meiklejon FBIPP, stated “BIPP qualifications are among the most rigorous in the world. Qualification with the BIPP requires hard work, determination, commitment and lots of creativity”.
Although having less time these days for it, since the demand from clients to shoot has grown, Alex was an Adobe software trainer for many years, beginning in the UK then also in Dubai. Alex has taught software training for EMDI, Gulf Photo Plus, and Tashkeel-Dubai, as well as Studio lighting and Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom training. Consequently, Alex possesses great retouching and colouring skills making images really stand out from the rest.
Alex now specialises in helping Interior and Architecture clients build Portfolio and has a great track record in this very demanding and highly skilled area of Photography. He also works regularly with many of the global Hotel brands that demand and expect the highest standards, specialising in pre-opening, helping to document all areas of a hotel, to launch to market.
